Tarot can be used in many ways to enhance the power of our magick and spell work. Place a card upon your alter to call in that cards energy to the space. Write on, tear up, burn, or burry cards for different sorts of spells. Each card is so full of rich symbolism, they make an excellent stand in for various objects, energies, and even people. This is why I always buy old and partial decks when I see them at the flea market or thrift store. Just remember to cleanse and charge the cards first before bringing them into any magical space and trying to craft a spell around them.
Here are some of my favorite tarot cards to work with in my magick:
Beginnings - The Fool
Financial Abundance - Nine of Pentacles, King of Pentacles, The Empress, Ace of Pentacles, and Ten of Pentacles
Positivity - Eight of Wands, The Sun, Strength, and The World
Manifestation - The Magician, Six of Wands, The Emperor, The Chariot, The World
Divination - Queen of Wands, Death, The High Priestess, The Hermit, The Queen of Cups, The Star
Love and Relationships - Two of Cups, The Lovers, Three of Cups, Ten of Cups, Four of Wands, Knight of Cups, Ace of Cups, Six of Cups
As you develop your own meanings and significance around each card, you will be able to intuitively know what card will best serve the magick at hand.
