As the Ostara season approaches, I find myself drawn to the powerful symbolism and energy that surrounds this time of year. And what better way to tap into that energy than through tarot?
That's why I wanted to share with you the Ostara tarot spread that has been a personal favorite of mine for years. This spread is designed to help you connect with the themes of renewal, growth, and new beginnings that are so central to the spirit of Ostara.
Ostara is a time of rebirth and renewal, making it the perfect occasion to turn to the tarot for guidance and insight. This Ostara-themed tarot spread is designed to help modern witches tap into the energies of the season, connect with their inner wisdom, and manifest their desires.
Step 1: Prepare Your Space
Create a sacred space for your tarot reading. Cleanse the area with herbs, moon water, or any other preferred method. Light a candle or incense to set the mood and enhance your connection with the spiritual realm.
Step 2: Shuffle Your Deck
Take your tarot deck and shuffle it thoroughly. As you shuffle, focus your energy on the intentions you have for the upcoming season. Imagine yourself surrounded by the energy of Ostara, with new beginnings and growth all around you.
Step 3: Lay Out the Cards
Once you feel ready, lay out the cards in the following order, saying the card’s position name aloud as you reveal it. I’ve included a layout graphic at the bottom of the page:
“The Seed”: This card represents the new beginnings that you are sowing during this season. It can represent a new project, a new relationship, or a new aspect of yourself that you are nurturing.
“The Soil”: This card represents the environment in which your new beginnings are taking root. It can represent the people, situations, or energies that are helping to support your growth.
“The Sun”: This card represents the energy and vitality that you are bringing to your new beginnings. It can represent your own inner strength, your passions, or the resources that you are bringing to the table.
“The Water”: This card represents the emotions that you are experiencing during this season. It can represent the love, joy, or peace that you are feeling, or it can represent the fears or doubts that you are struggling with.
“The Blossom”: This card represents the potential that your new beginnings hold. It can represent the opportunities and possibilities that are available to you, or it can represent the beauty and joy that you are bringing into your life.
“The Harvest”: This card represents the fruits of your labor. It can represent the rewards and successes that you are experiencing, or it can represent the lessons that you have learned along the way.
“My Offering”: This card represents the gratitude that you are expressing for the blessings in your life. It can represent the thankfulness that you feel for the opportunities, the people, and the experiences that have brought you to this point.
Step 4: Interpret the Cards
Take your time to interpret each card in the spread, using your intuition and your knowledge of the tarot. Reflect on the message that each card is sending you and how it relates to the intentions you have set for the season. Take note of any patterns, symbols, or themes that emerge from the spread.
Step 5: Take Action
Once you have interpreted the cards, take action on the insights you have gained from the spread. Use the information to guide your decision-making, plan your actions, and stay aligned with your intentions for the season. Trust in the power of the tarot and the energy of Ostara to guide you on your path of growth and renewal. This is a great place to start journaling and planning for the upcoming season.
The Ostara-themed tarot spread is a powerful tool for witches to tap into the energy of the season, connect with their inner wisdom, and manifest their desires. By using the symbolism of the tarot to guide your reflections and actions, you can deepen your spiritual practice and enhance your growth and renewal during this time of rebirth.
I hope this spread brings you as much inspiration and insight as it has for me over the years. May the blessings of Ostara fill your heart and guide you on your path.
